For this week’s Meet the Team, we’re introducing you to Kate Milne.
Kate joined Step Up in July 2019 as Step Up’s Office Administrator and in late 2021, Kate became Step Up’s HR & Office Administrator.
Prior to joining Step Up, Kate has held several administration roles within the pension and hospitality sector. This entailed working as a Pension Administrator, dealing with the general servicing of a personal pension, and taking customers through the retirement journey to claim their pension. Another was a Reservations Assistant which involved booking school groups, tour groups, sports groups, families, and everyone in between in hostels across Scotland.
Kate’s role as HR & Office Administrator with Step Up consists of anything administration, assisting the HR Manager & Office Manager in tasks to support the smooth function of the HR Department and the office in general. Kate also assists our Support Workers out in the field with property related queries and general enquiries.
Kate enjoys the varied job role and especially enjoys working and interacting with her colleagues. With a busy workload she is always kept busy and enjoys the array of tasks her role gives.
Kate feels that everyone at Step Up works collectively to achieve the best outcome for the people we support and supports them to make positive and meaningful improvements in their lives.
In her own time Kate enjoys going to the gym, spending time with friends and walking her dog.
