Step Up Has Successful Participation Open Day.
Step Up has successfully piloted a new way of encouraging the people that we support to participate more fully in the planning of their support.
A number of our young people came in to meet with our Quality Manager in order to give feedback on the areas where they think that their support is going well, as well as areas that they perceived could be improved. We also had a goals-based discussion which encouraged reflection upon past successes and planning for future outcomes. By having honest, frank discussions, we are able to work together with the people we support more effectively.
Based upon the feedback received, Step Up has been able to tailor its support packages to achieve specific positive results for the Young People who got involved. We look forwards to repeating our Open Day at the end of October 2019!
