We understand that not everyone can fully enjoy the festive period.
But this is the season to give back… if you can provide support to anyone, it is so important at this time of the year and your help will be cherished. So make sure to reach out to your family, friends and neighbours to check on them, especially if Covid-19 is keeping you apart this year.
Whether young or old, we can unfortunately find ourselves feeling negatives emotions due to the holiday season.
Talking about how you’re feeling is the first step to getting through it. So, we have put together some contacts that stay open over the holidays at the end of this blog post. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.
It’s common for some people to have financial struggles over the holidays. Whether this is due to overspending, an increase in bills, or something else – the sooner we find help the better.
The above goes for all problems we may experience this season, both physical and mental.
We all find ourselves striving for a ‘perfect’ Christmas, and discover imperfections along the way. It’s quite common to experience loneliness amongst all the social pressures. However, no matter how big or small our celebrations are, we can still enjoy them. Whether that means reaching out to connect with loved ones far away or developing new stronger connections with the people around us.
If you find yourself struggling over the holiday period, please share how you’re feeling with the people around you or get in contact with a support group.
We recommend reaching out to the local citizen’s advice bureau. Amongst other things, they are a great source of financial support.
