Step Up Expands Team in Forth Valley and Announces Successful Tender Outcome with Falkirk Council
In an exciting start to the new year, Step Up is thrilled to announce the addition of four new support workers to our dedicated team in Forth Valley. This expansion comes at a pivotal time for the company as we also celebrate our 10-year anniversary. As we gear up for a year of growth as a company, we are delighted to announce our successful tender outcome with Falkirk Council to continue to provide our services to young people in the area.
Welcoming Our Newest Recruits
Step Up has always been committed to providing the highest quality support to young people in Forth Valley, and the addition of four new support workers underscores this commitment. Our new starts bring a diverse range of experience to the team, further enhancing our ability to make a positive difference in the lives of the young people we support, helping them to live independently.
Our latest recruits are actively engaged in their induction process at the moment, ensuring that they are well-equipped to hit the ground running when they begin working directly with our young people in the coming weeks.
Making a Positive Difference in 2024
As we commemorate our 10th anniversary, we reflect on past accomplishments and look forward to an exciting future. The addition of new support workers is just one facet of Step Up’s growth plans for 2024. As a company, we are aiming for excellence and building upon the fantastic grades we received in our latest Care Inspectorate Report.
Step Up is also pleased to announce that following a successful tender outcome with Falkirk Council, we will continue to provide housing, employability, and community support for young people in Falkirk.
Pamela Vass, Head of Service, said: “We are delighted to win the tender, and we look forward to continuing to work with the young people, helping them to achieve positive outcomes in everything they do”.
Falkirk Council started referring young people to us in 2013 and for the last 3 years we are proud to share that:
- 100% of those young people have been successful in obtaining local authority tenancies and have sustained their tenancy with no support.
- 79% of those young people have engaged in driving lessons to build on their skills.
- 79% of those young people have engaged in employment and/or college opportunities.
We are excited about the year ahead continuing to support young people across Forth Valley to reach positive outcomes. If you’re interested in joining our team, you can find out more about our current vacancies and apply online here.
