A little bit more about our benefits package – we feel it’s worth shouting about!
In addition to our competitive rate of pay (which is above the Scottish Living Wage) we offer an additional on call payment of £25 per hour – doubled to £50 per hour on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 1st and 2nd of January. We also pay time and a half for all hours worked on these key dates during the festive season. We pay all of your SSSC registration costs and we pay a mileage rate of 45 pence per mile on occasions where you need to use your own car for business purposes. We have company pool cars available for use at both our Falkirk and Alloa offices.
Although we do expect you to work shifts on a rota basis, we will ensure you have every second weekend off – and we’ll pay you the same amount every month, regardless of the number of hours you work. We’ll make sure the hours even out at the end of the year! Our holiday entitlement starts at 30 days (FTE) from day one and increases annually to a maximum of 35 days (FTE) based on your length of service. Our generous stakeholder pension scheme means that there is a total contribution of 10% per month (5% from us and 5% from you).
We offer ongoing training & development opportunities, and we will fund you through your SVQ level 2/3, depending on certain conditions being met. We have a comprehensive support & supervision and review process in place that ensures you are fairly rewarded for your efforts and have the ability to progress within the job role.
We offer a number of additional wellbeing benefits which include 24-hour access to a free, confidential Employee Counselling Helpline, a staff kitchen which has a coffee machine, water dispenser & lots of nice goodies to eat and we provide filled rolls on a Friday. We hold a weekly draw for a Just Eat voucher and we gave all our staff a £100 spa voucher at Christmas. We have recently given our staff Amazon vouchers and Tesco vouchers to help with the current cost of living crisis.
